Man dies in an early morning pedestrian accident

A person out for an early morning stroll in Kentucky does not expect it to be his or her last. People walking along the roadway before sunrise can be difficult to spot. A man out for an early morning walk recently lost his life after being struck by a car in a fatal accident.

The 34-year-old man, who was from Bardstown, was walking along Kentucky Highway 245 at about 5:30 on a recent morning. A 25-year-old man from Longview, Washington, was driving west in a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo struck the man from Bardstown as he walked along the side of the road.

The Kentucky State Police responded to a call at about 5:45 a.m.  The coroner's office also responded to the call. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner's Office. It s not known if speed or alcohol played a role in the crash. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

A sudden death in Kentucky is always a shock to the family and loved ones left behind. While nothing can undo the tragic events that occurred, a civil suit may be possible against the party deemed responsible for the accident. A conversation with an experienced personal injury attorney could be helpful in this instance. A knowledgeable attorney can review the facts and circumstances of the accident and may be able to determine if a civil suit is a possible option. A successfully litigated claim could provide compensation for funeral costs, pain and suffering, and other damages.
